My mods are intake and a turbo timer. I know with DSM's you need to be careful upping the boost without some kind of fuel management. Get an AFC if you want 20 all the time. Factory is 16.5 in the upper rpm. Rasing the boost to 20 will probally cause a lean condition. Just my 2 Cents. Yes with DSM you need to just get a upgrades pump not a whole fuel managment type controler. The factory ECU will deal with the extra boost levels. I have a B spec II also in my GSX.
The duty cycles are very low like 16% and the start boost is like 12% and Gain is about 8 or 9%. I am running it on a Tial 38 mm external wastegate and a GT 35R turbo. (65lbs pre min compresser wheel) With that setup it is a rock solid 20 psi. ( THIS IS ON MY GSX NOT MY EVO) so just use the setting for a starting point or food for thought. Oh yeah I just bought a EVO two days ago.
Whoo Hooo Luke 485whp in the GSX. Originally posted by JayRu I know with DSM's you need to be careful upping the boost without some kind of fuel management. Get an AFC if you want 20 all the time. Actually with the EVO's they run so pig rich stock that running 20 psi all the way to redline with no aftermarket fuel control should be just fine. With mine running 21 psi (gota love 94 octane) we still have to lean it out using the AFC to get to a nice 11.5:1 A/F ratio on pump gas.
